Morris Park Community Improvement (MMPCIA) Stoop Sale. We know time is your most valuable asset and we appreciate your support for one of our major annual events. There will be multiple volunteers for this task and you will have no more than ten (10) addresses to deliver to. You will be provided the Participants’ contact information for coordination of drop-off time that is convenient for both parties. SATURDAY, MAY 18/10 AM POSTER DROPS: This requires partnering with one (1) other person to staple four (4) sets of 18” x 24” posters to poles on Lenox Avenue. You will be provided the posters and supplies the week of Sunday, May 12 - Friday, May 17.SUNDAY, MAY 19/ 9:30 AM - 12 PM (ESTIMATED END TIME) MMPCIA STOOP SALE BRANDED BALLOON PICK-UP & DROPS: This requires partnering with one of our MMPCIA Stoop Sale Committee Members (who will drive) and a few other volunteers to drop-off flat balloons to Party City on Columbus Avenue (store opens at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 19). You and all other volunteers will remain there until the store staff completes the helium inflation. Then, head back to our district, with inflated balloons, to drop one (1) balloon to each MMPCIA Stoop Sale Participant for display on their stoop. We recognize that some Participants will receive their balloons after the event start time of 11AM. However, this task can only be executed event day-morning due to the fact balloons deflate in less than 24 hours. SUNDAY, MAY 19/ 10 - 11 AM MMPCIA INFORMATION TENT, SUPPLIES, & SET-UP: This requires partnering with at least one (1) other person to set-up & pick up, from one location in the catchment area, the tent; chairs; table; and supplies (clip board, flyers, forms, pens, banners) for the MMPCIA Information Tent that will be located on Lenox Avenue between 120th & 119th Street. SUNDAY, MAY 19 : MMPCIA INFORMATION TENT: This requires partnering with one (1) other person to sit at the tent, share information, during the two (2) hours indicated above, about our organization; pass out flyers and answer questions about the MMPCIA Stoop Sale; collect email addresses for the MMPICA e-Newsletter; sign people up for MMPCIA membership; sell raffle tickets; and cash handling. 11AM - 1 PM 1 - 3 PM 3 - 5 PM 5 - 6:30 PMSUNDAY, MAY 19/4 - 5 PM PARTICIPANT KIT PICK-UP: This requires picking-up a Participant Kit that includes supplies and tools for each MMPCIA Stoop Sale Participant. There will be multiple volunteers for this task and you will have no more than 10 addresses to pick-up from. SUNDAY, MAY 19/12 - 2 PM PARTICIPANT LIAISON: This requires checking on MMPCIA Stoop Sale Participants on event day. You will need to check in and visit the Participant’s stoop, at least one time during 12 and 2 PM and provide your mobile phone to the Participant to serve as a point-of-contact (POC) to field any questions or concerns on event day only. There will be multiple volunteers for this task and you will have no more than ten (10) Participants to liaise with. SUNDAY, MAY 19/4 - 5 PM DONATION & RAFFLE CASH PICK-UP: On event day, this requires picking-up two (2) envelopes from each MMPCIA Stoop Sale Participant. All Participants will be donating 3% of their stoop sales for the day and there will be one (1) envelope for collecting these funds. All Participants will be selling raffle tickets and there will be one (1) envelope for collecting the raffle tickets, along with the cash received from raffle ticket sales. Both envelopes will be dropped off to the designated MMPCIA Stoop Sale Information Tent located on Lenox Avenue between 119th & 120th Street no later than 5 p.m. There will be multiple volunteers for this task and you will have no more than ten (10) addresses to pick-up from. SUNDAY, MAY 19/6:30 - 7:30 PM MMPCIA INFORMATION TENT BREAKDOWN & SUPPLIES DROP-OFF: This requires partnering with at least one (1) other person to breakdown, the tent; chairs; table; and supplies (clip board, flyers, forms, pens, banners) in the MMPCIA Information Tent that will be located on Lenox Avenue between 120th & 119th Street.
