Hee, Hee, Hee!

The Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association has some old-fashioned Halloween Fun planned for the neighborhood kids — and the young at heart!

Here’s what’s brewing:

Saturday, October 27
1-4 PM:

Parade Prep! Sign up for the Costume Contest and Stretch the Sillies out with Harlem Yoga Studio.

Costume Parade Contest begins in front of the Marcus Garvey Park Toddler Playground at W124 Street and will follow the lead of the Grand Marshall. The spooky group will make its way in and around Marcus Garvey Park.  Be sure to bring your noise makers, drums, rattles and whistles!

Costume Contest categories include: Babies, Children, Adults — and back by popular request — Pets*!

7-Alarm Halloween Fun. The FDNY and the NYPD are getting ready to compare their uniforms with your costumes. Best dressed might even get to make the horns blow on the fire truck and police car!

Art Projects and Games** later in the afternoon for ghosts of all ages.

In the event of rain or snow, we will meet in the Pelham Fritz Center.BlackCat

 

Wednesday, October 31
5-7 PM:

Trick-or-Treating Around Mount Morris Park Neighborhood! The kids will enjoy climbing up and down the stoops to fill those loot bags. Download the final list of T-or-T friendly homes.

Get your house in the spirit! People aren’t the only ones who can get decked out for Halloween! Your house can be spooky scary, fall festive, Halloween fun. Just get creative and have fun.

*Marcus Garvey Park Dog Run will be judging pets on their costumes AND their tricks!

**Can you help the kids? How about giving us a few very much needed volunteer hours? It’s fun, rewarding — and good community service for the older kids. Email us with your contact info.
